Traditional Ryukyu Kimonos are brightly colored and wonderful to behold. They are nothing short of a feast for the eyes. They differ from the traditional Japanese Kimono in that unlike the Japanese counterpart that is worn tightly and held in place by a wide and highly decorative belt called an Obi. Traditional Ryukyu Kimono's are loosely tucked into a single string like belt.
