Paws on book

May not have sleeves;

Just turn the leaves

To learn and look!

Knowledge is the key

But it isn't always free,

Til we pause to read.

April of 2008 I bought a Nikon D 40x digital camera to replace my Kodak Easy Share DX7590. I am still learning how to use my new camera... The manual that came with it had very tiny print. As David Busch mentions in his book about the Nikon Manual, "You had to flip back and forth among two or three cross references to find what you needed to know".. I wanted to simplify my learning on how to use my camera so I bought the Digital

Field Guide, by David D. Busch at Border's Book Store. His book

has much easier basic photographic concepts and techniques with pictures to show also. I would like to conclude with saying, I love my new camera as it allows me to be more creative but it helps to have a good guide book to refer back to.

    Nice! It fits the theme very well. I like your poem and telling about the Field Guide book. Maybe I should see if there is a Field Guide book for my Nikon D70s. I will look for one.

    Nice shot. I have a bunch of guide books. They only make my camera bag heavier. I am lucky to just call my friend and teacher. He is always happy to explain and usually buys dinner.
