Moving on from point & shoot…
Dear All,
I got my 1st DSLR, CANON Rebel XSi with 17-85 mm lens last week. This is one of the initial test shots.
It was quite a journey from the time I started off in April 2008 to now when I have got my 1st DSLR. It would have never been possible without the kindness and affection of you all. Thank you all for making me believe in myself and helping me improve.
I’m sure I must have disappointed lot of my Nik friends by my choice camera. But I promise to make it up to you all with my images :-). And all the CANON buddies…oh yeah, CANON rocks ;-)
Yours fellow JPGer,
Vidu :-)

Welcome to the wonderful world of DSLR, I'm not Nikon or Canon, but truly a Sony Alpha, I thought of switching to Nikon D90 but I have so many Sony lenses I just couldnt cross the line.

Congratulations, Vidya :)
So now you are a DSLR club member. If you ask me both Nikon and Canon perform at same level. It's not which series you go for. But how you work in field and get control of it is important.
Have a great fun with your new TOY :D -

Vidu, I had assumed you were using a DSLR all along. Canon or Nikon, it is obviously the photographer that counts!

Remember.. it is not the camera or who makes the camera.. It is who is behind the camera. disposables, toy cameras, point and shoots which ever the artist's tool .. Just shoot. You have talent and your images are beautiful. Thank you for sharing them!

The camera doesn't matter. What matters most is the eye that catches the world.
Keep on shooting. -
