Self Portrait

I've had an ongoing HW assignment for my Senior Project class. Every week, I have to make a self portrait.

Since there are so many students in the class, I didn't get to show my work for five weeks. When I finally presented the five pieces I had done this past Wednesday, I was told that, while my pieces were aesthetically pleasing, they were "too vague" and "too artistic". The teacher told me, as he had told others, that I just needed to take a straight photo of myself, without all the art.

I got so frustrated that they didn't get what I was trying to say. Did they even try to interpret them, or did they just open their mouths without even thinking first?

Whatever the reason, I got so upset I broke down and started crying in class, and had to step outside for some fresh air. Thankfully, two good friends of mine came to comfort me, and a few other people were worried as well.

After that, I decided that if they wanted a photo, they were going to get a photo... in spades.

This is my life. This is the past three years, the best moments I've spent with him, and what I will always remember more than anything.

They wanted raw? This is it. If they don't like it, oh fucking well.
