The artist M.C. Escher painted / drew puddle scenes more than a few times. His talent lay in presenting the impossible in totally reasonable visuals.
You can't see this puddle in the real world, as the photo is flipped vertically. Our brains instantly recognize the tree, then it instantly knows a reflection shouldn't look this way. It does not compute.
Escher would've liked that.

    Nice effect. I like Escher too. But, my brain won't listen when I try to talk to it. I thought the puddle was real.
