"The hammer and sickle is a symbol of the communist movement. The hammer stands for the industrial working class while the sickle represents the agricultural workers; together the hammer and sickle represents the unity of these two groups.

It is also speculated that the hammer represents power, while the scythe represents efficiency: "Power and Efficiency."

The hammer and sickle was first used during the Russian Revolution but it did not become the official symbol of the Russian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic until 1924."

My country was under aggressive communist domination over 42 years, so I hate the dictatorial system and everything about communism.
I like and wear this t-shirt because of the 'vintage' effect, but one day, a friend of mine told me: "You wear what you believe in!"
How will you judge me?

communism is just a word like nazism or fascism, it seems that the human being can't live without symbols and symbols are the "face" of the same power, the power and privilege of some "elected" over the masses.
now this is the world wide winning symbol ..$..
however, fantastic shot and very cool t-shirt!

Nice entry and cool shot, Camil. I share about the same opinion as Aurelio. How I will judge you? a clever guy who understand to wear the symbol in a ironic way and with that take the edge off the original meaning. If more people had done the same with swasticas and hammer/sickle symbols the nazis and commies would got less power.

I feel it a major injustice to ever judge another human being. One never fully understands another man's heart, mind and soul unless he has lived the same life, and then still perhaps not.

I think this is an awesome image and entry. My husband has a hockey shirt with that symbol on it and I assure you that he is no communist. But even if someone is, it is not fair to judge them. People should be judged on their own individual merits and not as a whole race, religion, or political party.
