Shining Through the Shadows
Well, it is not my favorite chair to sit in by any means. But it is one of my favorite photos I've taken of a chair.
We were exploring the old abandoned Pennhurst State Hospital near Philadelphia and came around the corner and saw this abandoned, rusty wheelchair sitting in the middle of a dust and trash-strewn room (okay, not exactly a Thanksgiving topic, I know, but this wasn't a place to think about warm thoughts and family...).
Pennhurst is a decaying and creepy old place with a very disturbing history. It was shut down in 1987 for violation of the patients' constitutional rights and some very horrifying acts.
A few more of my photos can be seen here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/37313642@N00/sets/72157606273551588/

I'm fascinated by places like this. Next time I visit Philly, I'm going to try and get here. GREAT shot for the theme.

Rusty, crusty things are fascinating subjects. Did you do some light painting to highlight the wheelchair or did you use a spot light?
