This is Arne Nordeen, Grounds Superintendent at the Marriott Wardman Park in northwest Washington, DC.
Arne was nice enough to come over as I was snapping photographs of the beautiful blooms in the lawn around the hotel. We chatted for several minutes and I complimented him highly on his expert design of the grounds. The color in the flowerbeds was explosive. I was quite surprised when Arne mentioned that there were 45,000 bulbs in the gardens. (I think I managed to photograph 42,363 of them.)
