This was taken, staring at Canada from "Rocky Point". What you are seeing is the sheeting action where the ice is pushed from the middle of the lake by wind or pressure to the edges of the lake. This ice flakes in massive chunks and forms barriers to climb over to get to the actual lake. This year the barriers weren't too high, although they have been known to reach 20-30 feet high. I don't know the name of the formations but they are really beautiful when there is a quick freeze of the lake.

somehow I think this is a stronger composition then the one you entried for zen, althought it seems like it was bitter cold to be out there in the elements, you make it seem very impressive, good work
