When I look up at the ceiling in our sun room I can still see the footprints of the Nike running shoes I was wearing when my brother-in-law and I put up the cedar boards on the walls and ceiling in the early 1980s. It appears that I walked across a few of the boards while they were on the ground waiting to be used. For some reason there are plenty of finger prints too. I probably should sand the stuff off.

John, I had a similar experience with footprints on the ceiling. When the house I grew up in was being built I was five years old. I was hanging around watching the construction and walked with my muddy bare feet on the lumber on the ground. Many years later I found that muddy footprint on the "ceiling" of the porch. Pretty cool.

dont sand it off, just leave it! A very nice touch, if not for those prints, you may not have posted it on jpg. I love wood grains . ps...good job on installing the ceiling, very hard to do.

There's an old proverb - "One who walks in another's tracks leaves no footprints". Your photo, stark evidence that you were and still are your own man. Beautiful photo, John.

Lovely wood. Don't sand off the foot prints and finger prints they add to the view. You will always have special memories of this ceiling. Good photo for the theme John.
