El Zocalo "Back in Mexico"

So I know... bad light... horrible exposure... I made a couple minor adjustments in Lightroom. To me it all adds character and emotion to this, already very interesting person. -- After the guitar player finished and packed up at El Zocalo, the place began to clear out. A few of us were still sitting next to the fire and this man (didn't catch his name) came up onto the stage area and just stared at the fire; obviously more than a little intoxicated. Out of nowhere he began telling us this great story about when he was a child in Mexico. He and his friends used to play a game where they would take turns jumping over the fire. They'd make it bigger and bigger and see who was the last person to give up. He was a very athletic child, he said, and could jump very high. One day he was playing this game and tripped before he had a chance to get off the ground, and landed face-first into the fire. Ever since that day he's been terrified of fire and wouldn't go near it. He claims that this was the closest he's been to a fire since that day back in Mexico.

I like the texture - as you say, "character and emotion". Good story, too!
