This hat was a Christmas gift from my friend Heather. She's a wonderfully talented photographer that I've gotten to know through Flickr. :)
No texture overlay here... I'm standing in front of my dining room wall, which is slightly textured itself.

Just lovely light, composition, make-up, prop and model. For what it's worth, a tight cropped version framed around the feathers would be lovely as well drawing the eye to those lovely eyes behind the net and letting them slowly fall down to the lips, chin and neck.
