I have often looked at images of mundane objects that artists have managed to transform into something more than it appears to be. This involves changing the way one sees in order to be able to visualize new and intriguing ways of framing mundane, blah, objects into something new and exciting. To train myself to do this, I have started taking walks with my camera around my office at lunchtime. Nothing is quite as blah as late fall and winter in Columbus, Ohio, so finding anything interesting to shoot is an accomplishment.
