Series: The Empire Theater in Its Full Splendor

It does not matter when I am in Barbados I find myself capturing the Empire Theater. There is something that draws me to it. It is a grand structure even in its derelict state. And yes, I have done a blog piece on it before. Since then we have had statements from the government of Barbados about it restoration. But unfortunately the Empire Theater is still waiting in vain for our love.

At the moment it is a blot on the landscape. Bridgetown is an old wonderful city and deserves better. The city’s magnificent old structures need love and restoration. Ranting on the outcome at the moment seems useless. We just have to wait and see, it at all, when the Empire Theater will wake from its dilapidated slumber.
