I shot this photo today at the Flint International Airport. Our son Tim took a leave and decided to come home from Iraq for Christmas. He is an awesome Christmas present. (Tim looks tired because he flew all night to make it home)

Hi Tim! Thank you for your willingness to protect our country from terrorism, and for putting yourself in harm's way to do so. There are no adequate words to express this gratitude, but I ask God's blessing on you and your buddies; and your family as well. Enjoy your leave for the Holidays, and take back with you the warm memories of the love of family and friends.

Bless you Tim and all your comrades for your service to our great country, and for having a good sense of responsibility and duty. Bless you also for taking leave and coming home to your parents for the holidays - one of the greatest gifts you could give them. Speaking from experience here, retired USN myself, as is my eldest son, and he has 2 daughters who just finished their tours in the sandbox - Army style. I salute you and your compatriots. Stay safe.

Hello Tim, I so well remember your dog Barney on a photograph that your father shot for an International photo contest that I also entered in 2007 ...I remembered seeing that picture sitting next to one of mine that I entered and out of thousands of entries it touched my heart because your dog was waiting for you to come home...Thank you for the good service you and other soldiers are doing. Please stay safe and Happy New Year.
