Police have a little fun while taking a break on the last day of the 2008 Republican National Convention in St. Paul, MN. I added this shot to demonstrate that the officers were not the evil examples of a "Police State" that I heard over and over again while shooting the RNC. In fact they were well trained and exercised a cool restraint during very tense situations. I can hardly imagine this scene taking place in say, Communist Russia or even now considering the current conditions there under Putins government.

    i guess that even in France you could not take that picture, cops here never sit like this nor smile or take pictures (only for search purpose), and i'm pretty sure they would not let you take the picture of them
