At first, I thought this was a romantic perspective of an old tree in Falls Park in downtown Greenville, SC. Then, the theme made me rethink the statement this image makes.
This is an obvious example of the impact humans have on nature.
The full view of this tree would reveal that the roots are almost entirely exposed to the world.
They lay in a tangled mass on the side of a hill where they remain vulnerable to graffiti and carvings.
