I looked out the window and saw my sister's dog playing with what looked like a leaf. As I walked closer I noticed the leaf had a tail.... turned out to be this beautiful chameleon! Of corse the first thing I do is grab my camera. We put it in a box and called our neighbor who has an aquarium to house it until we figure out who it belongs to. We have since been told there is no way it could have survived the night outside, nor could it walk more than 50 feet or be outside long without dying from the cold. We have checked with all our neighbors and it is still a mystery who it belongs to, how it got out and survived or even how it got into our yard. I'm just thankful I found it before the dog hurt it or worse the cat! (she LOVES to kill mice and birds this thing would have stood no chance) I am lovingly calling him Houdini, hopefully I do not grow too attached!
