These is another beautiful specimen belonging to the cetoniinae sub family. Chelorrhina polyphemus is a fantastic African beetle related to the King of the Beetles, the Goliath Beetle and something remarkable about it is that their larvae has been reported to be cannibalistic. The larvae usually reside in the compost which forms inside decomposing logs. As in most beetles, only the male has horns. This specimen belongs to Zaire, Africa.
