I took this over Christmas at my parents house in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. My dad finished this house from just a frame and put in every inch of work himself. The ceiling is made of birdseye maple boards. He put everyone up himself with a alternating width of board (5, 3, 4, 2) throughout the entire house. It is my favorite thing about home because it shows how much work he did to make everything perfect, and that is something I look up to.
