bravo mayette!!! i agree, i did subscribe and planned on renewing. i also did not take advantage of freebies. i really do not want to lose one of the pleasures of my life. i spend hours looking at photos on this site and will really miss it and the contacts i've made. in these hard times, people need a place/thing to lose themselves and forget about the cold cruel world, if only for a little while. here today it is cold and gray, kind of like the way i feel about losing jpgmag.com.

i'll say this... i was not a subscriber... but i don't subscribe to any magazines... i really love the ritual of going to the local book store, borders or barnes and noble... and thumbing thru the racks till i find my treasured copy... having a cup of coffee and thumbing thru it and then purchasing it... and bringing it home... there is something about that whole process that i just LOVE... i say this casue some of us that we're suscribers, still purchased and treasured the magazine.. :) gee i hope JPG is around a long time...

May I just add onemore thing, magazine sales and subscription is the main thing that will attract sponsors, so we need to go heavy on subscription first and prove that JPG is a popular magazine, can we make it number one? Who knows maybe we can!!

Well done Mayette! My brother who has been a Japanese citizen for 30 years and a keen photographer has told me JPG is very popular over there. He is a subscriber of the magazine ,and is hoping they will continue! He is a University lecturer and has used jpg in his classes!

You are so right and I got one of those free offers too after I had asked JPG to send me a bill for a subscription as I had really planned to subscribe...but then did not wait until January 14th to make my payment after they sent me a bill in the meantime...instead sent them the confirmation after Christmas reminding them of the free offer not knowing the troubles they were in. I am still willing to subscribe however but just have to wait to see if they are going to stay on first.... Love the picture...Well done!
