Q: Photo of same scene blended into 1 picture

A: Do you know?

Biscuit-Heart, left, and Leonard both are happy JPG didn't close, but sad that the print version is no longer available except for additional funds. My wife doesn't like the photo because it shows how I let the front room get funky and has that lived-in look. The photo's about two years old; it looks better now; a little. The fire still goes on cold nights and Biscuit-Heart and Leonard still occupy the front of the hearth.

It got my vote, Richard. Wonderful photo. It's a clever theme - House", as opposed to "Home", as the two aren't ALWAYS the same thing, though they overlap more often than not. It's a flexible theme, one that allows for exteriors as well as interiors, shots which seek to capture the true ambiance of one's home, expressing little or no concern over the tidiness of the space, or a fastidiously neatness, hoping to make a statement about one's devotion to order and 'cleanliness', an attitude antagonistic towards the sentiment 'A sterile environment breeds a sterile mind'. The "House and Garden set hopes to showcase what they believe is their 'good taste', with an underlying subset of the Protestant work ethic, and they affect the role of photo stylist, carefully laying out, in a 'studied' way, the magazines on display on the coffee table - care taken to create a 'look' of their just having been laid down haphazardly. Issues of 'Architectural Digest', 'The New Yorker', 'Sculpture Magazine', 'The Literary Review', JPG, and so on on display.
Others amoung us are more honest, apt to take a snap on the spur of the moment, anf if Playboy, Sports Illustrated, and TV Guide happen to be strewn about the coffee table, so be it. Your home reminds me of my own - essentially 'picked up', but it's probably been some time since the areas above eye level have met the duster, the closets are a disaster, and the furnishings an eclectic blend of the the fundamentals - TV, a place to lay your take-out dinner ot beer while watching the game (damn Giants, out of it as I writ this :(, , a carpet more important for the comfort it affords one's pets than its coordinstion with the other elements of the decor - choices driven by practicality, comfort, indifferent to the aesthetics which would cause the "**** Eye for the Straight Guy" gang apoplexy.
Altogether, my kind of place. Comgtats on a terrific shot!
