Blowing snow, a crazy sky and a little cross-processing make this an extra-terrestrial trip........ If you look closely you can see the windmills ahead in the distance.
These patches of blowing snow on an otherwise clear road create treacherous black ice on the highway. A vehicle travelling in front of us lost control on the black ice and tumbled over several times through the ditch into the field, ending up on its roof. What we saw was a giant pouf of snow bouncing across the ditch. Luckily, they were unhurt.
We saw three more rolled vehicles on the way into Calgary. Welcome to southern Alberta in the winter......
