May 5, 2007 in the evening, a few miles north of Greensburg, Kansas . The lights of what remains of the town after the deadly tornado illuminate a dark cloud which covers all the sky .
I am currently chasing storms in the Great Plains. On May 4th I came close to that storm, just managed to escape a wrapparound hook - 2 minutes later winds blew 161 mph where I just drove by !!! Next day, May 5, I ended up driving just west of Greensburg. A few miles north the dark sky and I took that photo
