The Lensbaby lenses attaches to Nikon or Canon cameras and allow you to create really neat surreal effects in-camera. Yes you can do this in PhotoShop later, but I prefer to do as much as I can in-camera. The version shown here is the third in their original line-up. It has a locking mechanism so once you find your "sweet-spot" as the company calls it, you can lock your focus in place; great for portraits. I prefer version 1 and 2 which you can't lock into place, giving you a different effect every time. The version 3 is the most photogenic though in my opinion!

I have all three of the original line of Lensbabies... version 1, 2 and 3. I've photographed babies, brides, my wife and kids with them. I've even photographed the Governor of our state with one (his aids were looking at me like "what the heck is on that guy's camera?!" They are a blast to play around with. The company just introduced three new lenses, which are now on my wish list!

Yeah! These babies kick arss! I'm a lensbaby user myself and I'm addicted to it. I'm loving the plastic optic... I dunno, but it has some magical thing in it... ^^

Ha. Great shot of a "magic" lens. Really good detail. I've got the same one. I really need to make myself use it more, cause I love the effects. You said you've got all 3, very cool! The only reason I'd upgrade to the version 3 is it seems it might be quicker or more stable for portraits. What's your take on that?

Jordan, yes V3 was designed for studio/portraits because you can lock focus and get the same look every time.
