This Indian musician played a ghatam, a percussion instrument which is actually a clay cooking pot suitable for cooking curry.
My challenge in taking this image was, firstly, to avoid the many microphones that surrounded him. There is one on the top right, just millimetres away from his hand.
Another challenge was to get his two hands and one feet into the picture.
As a bonus, I managed to capture one hand still while the other was rapidly beating away.
With my zoom lens set at 250mm (375mm equivalent) and a 1/25 second exposure, I think I did well in keeping the rest of the image still and sufficiently sharp.
