This slab requires 1000 cubic yards of concrete, 180 degree water is added to mix the concrete along with polymers for strength and heat. I started this shoot at 4:00am and the temperature was 42 degree, at 5:00am the temperature dropped to 31 degree. Along with dense fog and steam from the hot concrete I was having to use from 10 second to 30 second exposures which made it difficult for this amateur.
