St Runius Chapel

The ancient parish church of St Runius, Marown is situated roughly in the centre of the Parish. The original building dates from around 1200 AD and was enlarged in 1754 AD. Three bishops are possibly buried here; Lonnan, Connaghan, and Runius. The old church was replaced around 1859, when a new church was opened. The building was restored by volunteer labour and reopened in 1959.

    I completely agree with Bob about the wide angle. The B&W (besides the outstanding composition) really sets the mood.
