we are near the summit of Pikes Peak... the terrain is pretty bare when you reach that altitude. 14,110 feet.

    How beautiful! This reminds me of the time my mom and dad drove out here to Idaho from Florida. She was a worse driver than I am, and she drove up Pike's Peak! LOL

    Can you believe I've never been up there, and I have been living in Colorado for almost ten years! I wouldn't drive, this looks like the way of transportation for me.

    Nice shot, you see a little more at elevation at Mt. Evans where you can also drive to the top of the 14,000 foot peak. No train ride at Mt. Evans.

    That's true Klaus..... I've been to the top of Mt. Evans as well.... and as beautiful as that place is...... it's THAT scary driving to the top :)
