That's Alfred working with Tiang at a small private group photo shoot in an abandoned warehouse in Brooklyn,NY. We had 3 photographers, 6 models, 2 hair stylists / MUA & 1 assistant.

Many people have told me that she looks like she should be sitting on a toilet (LMAO), but that doesn't really matter, because this shot isn't about beauty.

To me, it illustrates some of the very strange positions we find ourselves in as models & photographers, when we are so focused and consumed by the work at hand ... leaving ourselves and the outside world behind.

However skilled the model or photographer might be, a deep rapport and very intimate connection between them is required to move the results past the glamor and into the emotion of the shot. Sustaining this connection can be both exhausting and exhilarating; and definitely addictive!

Alfred is a photographer whose work & approach I respect very much.
