Swans...... these are the guys that I posted a photo of several months ago.... they are almost a year old now....
It's been brought to my attention...... I was told wrong ( and with the advice from Eithne) have done more research on my own... these are NOT Trumpeter Swans... they ARE Black Swans... and they will always be black :) So, glad I posted this shot, if for nothing else, for the education :) Duh!!! I WAS wondering why they weren't white yet..... they never will be :)

    I really like the dark color on these swans...White is nice but much more common.

    I did not know that swans were black for the first year then turn solid white! How interesting!!! The swans are also very beautiful : )

    Think these are just black swans and stay black...The white ones are a muddy off white first? You can keep watch and let us know, whatever they turn into it's a wonderful capture!?

    Eithne has given us all an education on the Black swans : ) She also identified my black and white duck with the red looking growth on its face. It is common in our area yet I could not find it in my bird book in the duck section! Many thanks to Eithne!!!
