    Reminds me of my grandmother during World War II. She used to make coffee the same way.

    This is unreal, Ledinha! Can smell the aroma all the way here : )
    Guess I've told you of my childhood vacations in Ponte Nova, terrinha maravilhosa da minha mãe (recently submerged & destroyed by that horrific tromba d'água). Spent many afternoons at my uncle's coffee processing plant there by the river which crossed the town (he was an exporter, purchased coffee from the farmers, extracted the beans, sun-dried them & got them ready for export.)
    Late afternoon, before leaving, they'd get a little of the BEST coffee they'd roast that day and would use a coador to make the absolutely very best tasting coffee I've EVER had... The aroma just filled the room and _sparkled_ the senses. Unbelievable. Except, of course, for you, who _definetely_ know what I'm talking about...
