Whenever out on a photo shoot, I always seem to be presented with a photo opp that I just have to take for my own portfolio...and this is one of them.
Although it was super hot, and the sun was beaming like madd, I couldn't resist taking this shot..breaking the Portrait rules or not (you know...shooting with the sun FACING your model...definite NO NO!)
Ever since my Tokina 12-24mm f/4 lens arrived, I have been dying for a shot like this, and this was my best chance.
I bought this lens for "Specialty" reasons, and this was one of them.
This shot was PURPOSELY distorted to give the tall/lengthy effect. This lady is only 5ft tall, but when shot at 12mm from the ground, she can look as tall as 10ft.
Well, enough story telling. I just wanted to share my first Pro image with my newest lens, and see what y'all thought ;-)
As always, I REALLY hope y'all like it ;-)

Tremendous image, she's bursting out of the screen with her presence. Super sky as a back drop too.

One sexy shot! Her arm in front looks huge to me though compared to the rest of her body...lol

Thank you all for accepting my "Visions" I truly appreciate the encouragement and support!!
Tammy, you are so right LOL! It's is due to the distorted view of the 12mm Lens. I was literally right under her.
The best thing is, it's not a fisheye lens, so it's not totally warped, but just enough for MY eye ;-) -

I love this shot using your wide angle lens!!! She does look taller than 5 ft. She looks very sexy in that pose and I love the way that the background looks with the wide angle. Also, I think that having the sun in her face ADDED to the photo - fabulous work Ahmed!!!

Thank you much Ann! I like the way the sun was shinning too, however, it can be harsh on the model. I could have easily turned her around and used my reflector on the floor to achieve the same effect, however my cheap Cactus Flash Trigger would not sync properly at 1/200th, so I would not have been able to achieve the same colored sky, therefore causing me to "punish" my model LOL!!
I did just order some new more Professional Flash Triggers, so I will have to worry never more.
** Stay AWAY from those Cactus Triggers!! Some have luck, but I did NOT :-( **

Isn't it awesome when photography is exciting like this? That feeling like your 12 again and just got that brand new toy and then the chance to use it comes up! Great stuff.
