Where the sky grows grey and white
We'll meet on the other side
Somewhere across the border
For you I'll build a house
High up on a grassy hill
Somewhere across the border
For what are we without hope in our hearts
someday we'll drink from God's blessed waters
I know love and fortune will be mine
Somewhere across the border
(Selective text from Bruce Springsteen's Across The Border)

on Jan-16, 2009, i was out with fellow photographers Athlon and KBE, and this was one of the first shots i took that day :)
last night, after a month, i thought of editing it and posting it on Treklens :) i learnt a lot of new and useful things about Capture NX2 as i edited this one; like partial, layered contrast and levels adjustments etc :)
i had to darken the already dark sky and the tools came in very handy, i wish i'd shot it at ISO 100 or 200, that would've given me more dynamic range to play with :)
the foreground too was touched and was brightened up a little, while the grain was added in RAW MODE :)
i used a Graduated Neutral Density ( ND Grad ) filter for the sky, and it proved very handy and gave great results :)
it was impossible for me to share it without including the lyrics, because, interestingly, i was listening to the song from Springsteen while i edited this one :)
hope you like it :) thanks for reading and viewing :)
