The ubiquitous Chinese bicycle manufactured in Tianjin since 1950. A true peoples bike, it was meant to provide reliable and affordable transportation to the masses which it has done for decades. During a recent trip to Tianjin, I saw them everywhere, along with the Giants, Raleighs and a few carbon fibers that the a few of the current more affluent Chinese society can now afford.
