More Flying !!!.....Clavadistas.
If you love an image (whether it's yours or someone else's) and want to make sure others get a chance to see it, you can “feature” it by choosing the “Spotlight” button.
When an image is Spotlighted, it receives enhanced visibility in premium spots throughout the site. Spotlighted images are rotated through these higher-visibility positions to ensure the best opportunity for the images to be seen by JPG users.
If you see a great photo that would make a perfect entry for one of our Shoot Out photo contests but it was uploaded by another user, now you can enter that photo in the contest and, if it wins, you get to share in the contest winnings.
Like a photo editor, if you've got an eye for great work, find it and submit it to a contest. If it wins, since you staked the entry fee, you'll take home part of the prize (the rest, of course, goes to the member who shot the image).

This is Jesus "Chikas" Garcia on his way to the ocean below. I took this shot about one second after he left his perch on top of a very high rock in Mazatlan, Mexico.
I was lucky enough to be allowed to go up to the top of the dive point with him after a fair bit of persuasion on my behalf that I would not get in the way or do anything to break his concentration whilst he was up there prepearing for the dive.
This is a lot higher up than it looks in this image, and not long ago one of this close knit small group of daredevils lost his life after misjudging the incoming swell.
When they get to the bottom, they are entering the water (head first) at a great speed and it is only a few meters deep. He did'nt make it.
A couple of days later I went back to see Chikas and his friends and presented them with some high quality A4 sized blow ups of these shots to show my appreciation. They were stoked, and so was I.
I think Chikas has got what it takes, and I also think that Kelly Slater's form of flying in the next image down looks a lot safer than this does !
