As others have remarked, the POV is outstanding. So too the color, reflections, the unique ambiance of the venue, the light which trsils from the bottom of the photo straifght up to the brilliant light at the end of the canal. It is a little dark, but in the most positive way imagineable. The single gondalier, at the end of the canal, successfully mitigates against the commercializtion and exploitation of the tourism which sustains this wonderful tradition, keeping alive this mode of transport from the purely utilitarian purposes necesities of its origins, to the quasi romantic yet commercial raison d' etre of its current role. A tale told by an artist of exquisite sensibility and sensitivity, with an eye for storytelling through sight rather than words. Magnificent Majca.
