This is a field filled with yellow wildflowers as far as the eye can see in one direction, very wide, too. People stop their cars and trespass, climb on the farmer's tractor, play on his haybale as if they owned it. It's bluebonnet season in central Texas. Of course, they do this in bluebonnet fields by the highway too, but in the blue fields it is a different kind of energy. It's the kind of place where people bring their babies and lay them down on blankets for photos. Blue is a peaceful field. Yellow is something different, m ore unusual at this time of year, and oh so zippy! Of course, no police come. It's SPRING! How could they arrest people for doing what they just HAVE to do when they see this field? Nothing like a yellow field to fill people up with zing.
