    for one thing, it is very romantic indeed :)
    i love the turned away head, but what i like even more is the closed eyes, and i guess all the drama and romance converge into them :)
    the light is very good, and it is further complimented by the black background :) clever!
    in the end, i'd say one more thing :) i can see how the subject is resting her hand on her shoulder. that, in my view, gives it a very feminine touch and at the same time suggests that she is trying to get in touch with herself :) i dont know if that sound too philosophical, but thats how i interpret this one :)

    Yes indeed, the hand was placed there on purpose, not as a shield, but rather as a connection with one own self. I wanted to portray a young woman discovering and appreciating the worth of her femininity. It's value. It's soft power.
    My very first "portrait shoot"; this model was extraordinarily sweet and it just made it easier to take her photos.
