Dent "Wildman" Myers; photographed in his store, "Wildman's Civil War Surplus." Kennesaw, GA. August 2008.
Myers, a self-proclaimed Racist and Bigot, sells a rare and unusual assortment of Civil War memorabilia and White Supremacist paraphernalia.
I spent a couple of hours with Myers, in his shop. Upon leaving, I asked him for directions to the nearest gas station. He informed me that, "The nearest one's got some Raghead owner, don't go to that one..." and proceeded to give me directions to the nearest "White-owned" gas station.

Even if the Guy is an unlikeable sort, it still makes for a great subject & portrait. Xcellent work SD...

He is very aware of his own presence. As mentioned, I spent about 2 hours photographing him and the store. This was also the second time I've been to see and photograph him; he remembered me. This was the last shot I took as I was leaving. When I asked to take one final portrait, he dropped the casual stance and hint of a smile that he had been wearing and donned the "presence" you see here.

Not so much luck, as my parents rock. My Dad first discovered him back in the 80's. ;)
