Two weeks ago today I had first spotted a wren nest in my bedroom window. Yesterday, the cats seemed interested in my window, but I saw NO activity. "While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping, As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my....." Window ? I had two thoughts. Its a Raven or a wren. I VERY quietly moved the curtain just a bit so see a tiny wren looking back at me. I would guess the female wren is now making the nest better and placing soft material in the nest.
If I can keep the cats out of the window, there will be a eggs soon. It will be hard as the tapping has drawn the attention of Boomer and Pickles the cats also. The space is to narrow for Sasha to jump up in the window, and she is still to little but that won't stop her from trying. This has to be called the big stretch. She is on her tip toes on the edge of one of the cat cribs.

Nature is a powerful force. LOL! My guess is that as long as there is a window between the cat and the nest, the wrens will tough it out. Very cute shot.
