There is a little courtyard between two of the buildings in downtown Norfolk where I go to school. There are beautiful flowering trees and pots of flowers and park benches. This little piece of paradise is also home to several homeless men including Eddie as seen in this photo. I approached him and asked if I could take his picture. He answered me quietly "Yes." I thanked him and took several photos of him. The day was not very cold, although it was cool enough that, if you were going to spend the whole day and night out of doors, you would want to wear several layers. His outer most layer is a blanket.
The school had attempted to ban them from the campus for a while. Either they gave up because it's an open campus in the heart of downtown, or they gave in because they have hearts and these men really aren't bothering anyone.
I don't know.
