This is my friend Jessica. She was a really awkward teenager, but grew into a stunning classic beauty. I have shot her many times since this shoot, but I've always loved this shot because it captures her beauty in the most honest way.

I did several crops for this shot, and for some reason this one worked the best. When I left the whole head in, it became merely a portait and not a compositional or conceptual piece.
