Death Valley wants to kill you.... seriously. I felt it try as I hiked out for 45 minutes deep into the sand dunes with a full canteen of water. Within an hour the canteen was dry and my lips were starting to chap and my throat was sore and dry. The other thing is... when you hike out for 45 minutes... the hike back (in the dark) is also a minimum of that same time. Like I stated... Death Valley wants to kill you...
