Does Anyone Know About Skinks? Maureen Jochetz gets a Gold Star
This fellow just sat there as I came out the door. He did not seem at a bothered by my presence. I am almost sure its a skink, but wonder what kind it is. He sat there a long time. I went back in, but when I came back out he had disappeared.

Maureen Jochetz sent the link for the The Little Brown Skink (Scincella lateralis), also known as the Ground Skink . I do believe that is exactally what is is.
Thanks, Maureen
I love to know who else lives at my house.

Skink? Those are so cute! I do wish we had some of those around here.

He is a skink, but I don't know what kind either. We have some under our washing machine (in the garage). They seem less skittish than other lizards, and we used to have one that would eat bugs off our fingers. Yours is a beautiful metalic bronze.
