An art installation by Linda Brenner at the Eastern State Penitentiary.
“These sculptures represent the colony of cats that took up residence in the prison grounds after the closing of the penitentiary in 1971. It is a testimony to survival.”
Dan McCloud would come to the prison three times a week to care of the cats that roamed inside. He did this for 28 years.
In the Ghost Cats of Eastern State Penitentiary photo essay.
