Thank you all. The narrow and vertical streets of the old town are very hard to do justice. I needed a wide angle lens, but had to make do with a mid to long zoom. I have forgotten just what street this is. Cowgate maybe. At any rate the mix of old stone and bright colors is one of my strongest memories of Edinburgh.

I need to get back to Europe! This shot, so well taken, reminds me of all the beautiful old colorful buildings there. They really knew how to do architecture!! Fantastic detail on this one, Jerry!!

Thank you all. Your kind comments are very welcome. I must say though that it seems I am apparently a terrible editor of my work. I sat on this one for months before I decided to work with it and then for weeks after it was ready to post. This photo has brought me the most comments of all my work. Very gratifying, but I just never know what's going to strike a chord with my fellow jpgers.

Dad,
It's Victoria Street (also called West Bow), if you follow the street up, it leads to the cut-through to Castle Hill. :) I love google maps! -

Victoria Street.
One of my favourite streets in Edinburgh.
You should return once all the road works and what not are gone though, it's a whole lot more photo-worthy!!
However, this is a very lovely shot. Nice post-processing. -
