Coastal Obsessions - Davenport, California
I became interested in landscape photography in the fall of 2008. Being short on travel funds, I make the most of the coastal beauty found within and hour's drive from my home. This stretch of coast is only a twenty minute drive and is my favorite spot for long exposure photography. The waves on the open coast make for predictable white water which acts as the perfect contrast for the dark slabs of rock. A two minute long exposure seems to do the trick and this particular evening, the clouds were moving at a decent clip due to the high winds.
