I am roughing in the beginning of a new painting in acrylic paint. Once it is roughed in and dry I will switch to oil paints. I can do it in oil from the beginning but it takes longer to dry and I need to get this one roughed in and dry before my art class tomorrow night.

This is an interesting SP and good to know that one can use both acrylics and oils in paintings. I see you have a photograph in your hand which I presume you are painting your picture from....It is great to combine both arts. You'll have to show us the finished product after it is done.

FYI - I was taught that you can under paint in acrylic and when it dries paint in oil over it but you cannot paint in oil first then paint in acrylic over it.
