Thanks Susan - now I'll have to start in on a different patch of our back yard (LOL!). Partly it is the luck of persistence but I also switched lenses today which may have been some factor.

What lens did you use and what settings? I realy love this. I grow irises too. Mine are in bloom right now too. Or at least they were. I picked them all and brought them into a vase.

EXIF details: 1/30s f/6.4 ISO 400 55mm (18-55mm stock Canon lens) with an add-on "filter" Vivatar Close-Up lens #2. I had been using the close-up lenses on my 100-300 zoom in the previously posted images.
